PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Purpose

  • The purpose of this SOP is to standardize the reading and interpretation of the Official Tour Code used for deal renaming in the final stages of the Sales KANBAN pipeline.
  • This new, simplified code format ensures accurate and concise classification and integration with external systems like Ezus.

Scope

  • This SOP applies to all staff who are required to interpret or input the standardized Tour Code.
  • The code follows the five-part alphanumeric format:
    Tour.Length.Pax.Service.Level.Stages

PROCEDURE

Tour Code Component Breakdown

The code is a five-part sequence separated by dots (.).

  1. Tour (1st Position)
    • Description: The standardized two- to four-letter code representing the specific trip itinerary.
    • Interpretation: Refer to the Tour Codes List below. (e.g., TMB, HR, AV).
  2. Length (2nd Position)
    • Description: A single letter representing the duration or version of the tour.
    • Interpretation: F for Full or H for Half.
  3. Pax (3rd Position)
    • Description: The total number of travelers (pax) booked in the group.
    • Interpretation: The letter P followed immediately by the number of travelers (e.g., P2 for 2 travelers, P5 for 5 travelers).
  4. Service Level (4th Position)
    • Description: A single letter for the Service and Accommodation Style requested by the client.
    • Interpretation: B (Budget), C (Comfort), or L (Lux).
  5. Stages (5th Position)
    • Description: The number of distinct stages/accommodations/nights included in the booking.
    • Interpretation: The number of stages followed immediately by the letter S (e.g., 11S for 11 stages/nights).

Example Code Interpretation:

  • TMB.F.P2.C.11S translates to: Tour du Mont Blanc, Full version, Pax 2, Comfort Service Level, 11Stages/Nights.

  • TMB: Tour du Mont Blanc
  • TMBHE: Tour du Mont Blanc Half East
  • TMBHW: Tour du Mont Blanc Half West
  • TMBBO: Tour du Mont Blanc Best Of
  • AV: Alta Via 1
  • HR: Haute Route
  • CB: Costa Brava
  • CF: Camino Frances
  • WT: W-trek
  • OT: O-trek
  • MT: M-trek
  • GSGHP: Great Self Guided Hikes of Patagonia
