Which mobile app feature should I use for hiking navigation?

For hiking navigation, we recommend using the Pygmy Elephant Companion app Route feature.

The Route view is designed to show the GPX hiking route clearly, along with your live location in relation to the trail. It also includes the elevation profile, which can help you understand the route’s terrain and progress.

The app does not provide turn-by-turn directions. Instead, it works more like a hiking map app: you follow the GPX route line and use your live location to confirm where you are on the trail.
